About Me:

My name is Tim Costello. I live in Euless Texas (almost midway between Dallas and Fort Worth Texas). I have a fantastic wife (Mary), 3 great kids (Maggie, Katie, Trevor), 2 dogs (Nina and Sadie) and a car with flames painted all over it! On top of all that I am passionate to the point of obsession on the subjects of

  • SQL (TSQL, Integration-Analysis-Reporting Services)
  • Dimensional Modelling
  • .net (vb AND c#)
  • html
  • css
  • object oriented analysis and design
  • test driven development (never tried it … but it sounds great!)
  • developer tools
  • productivity (David Allen: Getting things done)
  • North Dallas, Dallas and Fort Worth (Texas) area .net users groups
  • North Texas PC User Group SIG’s

Basically … you might find any of the subjects listed above mentioned from time to time in this blog. My starting plan is to focus on things that might be interesting to others on a path like mine. A path from ‘Man … I suck!” to “I totally kick ass at this!” as Kathy Sierra might say. Or to put it another way (and to steal the title of a book I love) a path ‘from Coder to Developer’. I’m no expert, but I do get around. I hope to share some of the cool things I find.

wonk (wongk) noun : An expert who studies a subject or issue thoroughly and excessively.

    Hey there!

Might you be the Tim I met @ BarCamp Texas in BCS? I spent most of the sessions in the first section of the workspace and sat (with my sister) near the front and on the left side.

I ask because I am considering a contract @ V in Irving and I was just telling Barbara (sister) about it and she remembered meeting someone at the barcamp who worked @ V. Is that you?

Well if I guessed right -and you have some time- I’d love to get your take on the environment there. (I’m sending a message to your gmail too)

Add data visualization to that list of passions Tim. You are one prolific guy.
